A Local Farm & Food Extravaganza
On Saturday, August 28, 2021, participating farms in Schoharie, Otsego, and Delaware Counties will be open to visitors from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The new Family Farm Day 2021 Farm Guide is your map to the forty-one farms participating this year. (Be sure to download while in regions with stronger signals as the file is large.) A ‘Key to Symbols’ indicates farm event features such as tours, rides, activities, samples, bathroom facilities, and the opportunity where possible to be close to farm animals. Most importantly, take time to be acquainted with our region’s talented and resourceful farmers.
Plan your route using our new Interactive Map, which includes direct links to farm websites, social media, farm GPS locations, travel directions, photos, and further descriptions about the farms and FFD activities offered. We encourage you to visit as many farms as your schedule permits between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. and then to dine locally following FFD hours, if not stay for the weekend.
For everyone’s safety, please adhere to Family Farm Day etiquette:
- Pets are not allowed on participating farms;
- Please remain in designated areas while on farms.
- In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we ask that those attending Family Farm Day be aware of and adhere to the safety protocols of each farm. Please be respectful!
Be sure to bring coolers or insulated grocery bags to take home delicious, local, farm-fresh products purchased throughout the day. Have a fabulous day!
Family Farm Day is an agritourism collaboration among CCE Schoharie and Otsego Counties, CCE Delaware County, Delaware County Tourism, Destination Marketing Corporation – Otsego & Schoharie Co. Tourism, as well as local chambers of commerce, county Farm Bureaus, local farmers, and loyal sponsors.
