The Roxbury Arts Group has begun the search for bands and musicians in anticipation of the Headwaters Music + Art Festival, which includes an adaptation of their wildly successful “Porchfest” of years past. The Headwaters Music + Arts Festival will take place on Saturday afternoon, July 29, rain or shine. The Headwaters Music + Arts Festival is a free celebration of music and community, welcoming musicians to perform on front porches and lawns along Stamford New York’s Main Street, for a free flowing audience of townspeople. “If you are a band, singer or instrumentalist and want to showcase your talent, help us to help you, fill Main Street with music!” says Leila Crockett Presenting Program Manager “Head to the Roxbury Arts Group website at roxburyartsgroup.org, click the “Opportunities” tab and select “Open Call Opportunities” to apply by the June 2 deadline.” Hosted by the Roxbury Arts Group, participation in The Headwaters Music + Arts Festival is free to attend, and performing bands or individuals will receive a stipend to cover costs.
